Repair volunteer call out

Can you help or know someone who could?

We are always on the lookout for more volunteers to strengthen our team.
If you are good with people, could you help our front-of-house hosting team?
Or are you handy at sewing, fixing, electrical or electronic repairs?

We can use all kinds of skills. You don’t need to be a professional or highly trained, just willing to have a go among a group of colleagues who are always ready to help each other and pass on their knowledge and experience.

If you have the skill and the time to spare, the Repair Cafe would love to hear from you.

Tonbridge Repair Cafe is a community event where volunteers help fix broken items. Our goal is to promote repair over replacement, save money, reduce waste, and learn valuable skills by users of the repair cafe watching our volunteers analyse the problem and working to repair the item.

We run our main cafe at St Stephen’s Church in Tonbridge on the second Saturday of each month, except for August and December, when we take a break. Volunteers arrive soon after 9 o’clock to set up and we need to be all packed up again by 1 o’clock.
